He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Beasley (Beitler) and Albert Monninger; his son Alan Lee Monninger; his sister Beverly A. Price; and his brother-in-law Leon Price.
He is survived by: his wife Bonita B. Monninger; his children, Fonda K. Monninger of Kernersville, NC., Debra A. McCormick of Waynesboro, PA and Ronald L. Monninger, Jr. of Trinity, NC; and his grandchildren, Brett, Steven, Brandon and Brittany. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
