He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Castle, Sr. and Betty Castle (Baker); and his son Gregory Cole. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Castle; and his children, Tracy Bass, James Castle, Matthew Cole and Michelle Frazier. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren; 3 brothers; one sister; and multiple brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
