It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Elizabeth Kershner of Clear Spring, Maryland, born in Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil L. Harbaugh and Carrie E. Harbaugh (Hause); her husband Richard "Dick" Kershner; her son David Kershner; and her sisters, Betty Hull, Dolores Hornbecker and Lorraine Bowers.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Ambrose (Jerry) of Clear Spring, Nancy Pope (Bruce) of Frederick and Dennis Kershner (Susan) of Ellicott City; her grandchildren, Rachel Kershner, Daniel Kershner, Chris Ambrose, Nick Ambrose (Jessica), Wes Ambrose, Dawn Chavez (Bryan), Robin Rausch (Bryan) and Wendy Wise (Will); her great grandchildren, Ella, Lucas, Hannah, Brayden, Chase and Madilyn; her siblings, Rose Shank of Williamsport and Cecil "Butch" Harbaugh Jr. (Nelda) of Austin, TX; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret "Pudge" Cornett of Clear Spring and Jim Shryock of Maugansville.
