She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Louis Charles and Mary Caroline Charles (McKinsey); her husband Bernard Franklin Swope; her siblings, Helen Ludwig, Joseph Charles, Bernhard Charles and Norris Charles; her son-in-law George Hotsko; and her granddaughter Sherri Unger.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Swope (Janie) of Hagerstown, John Swope (Mary) of Clear Spring, Judith Hotsko of Clear Spring and Joanne Swope (Rick Shoup) of Chambersburg, PA; and her grandchildren, Jason Swope, Jefferson Swope, Matthew Swope (Brenda), James Hann and Heather Proctor. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
