With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Richard Pryor of Clear Spring, Maryland, born in Smithsburg, Maryland, who passed away on February 28, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll S. Pryor and Lillian I. Pryor (Miller); his close friend Roger L. Canfield; and his sisters, Nancy I Pryor and Vicky S. Pryor.

He is survived by: his siblings, Janet R. Sweeney of Newport, TN, Patricia A. Miley of Falling Waters, WV, Linda M. Thomas (Donald) of Clear Spring, MD, Lois J. Shaffer (Jeff) of Smithsburg, MD, Samuel E. Pryor (Rose) of Smithsburg, MD and Donald L. Pryor (Jo Ellen) of Smithsburg, MD..
