He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Shoemaker and Olive "Sis" Shoemaker (Mummert); his daughter Lori Ann Dom; and his siblings, Patricia J. Cottrill (Herbert "Sonny" Cottrill) and Richard "Dick" Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Louise Shoemaker (Wagner); his daughters, Sara Louise Imes (Mike) of Waynesboro, PA and Sherry Lynn Hutchinson (Greg) of Plano, TX; and his grandchildren, Lakyn Renee Sanders and Benjamin Alan Imes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
