He is survived by: his wife Nicki Sue Myers (Hesson); his children, Amy Lynn Whittington (Robert) and David L. Myers, Jr. (Jesse); his sister Sue Hesson (Mike); and his grandchildren, Taylor Leigh Whittington and Camden Robert Whittington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
