Allen Eberly Strite Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Allen Eberly Strite of Clear Spring, Maryland, whose life came to an end on April 10, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Abram Strite and Emma Strite (Eberly); his wife Anna May Strite (Martin); his daughter Mary Jane Spoonire; and his brothers, Wayne, Nelson, Garnet, Lawrence and Clair.
He is survived by: his children, Mark (Martha Ann) of Clear Spring, MD, Ruth Ann of Hagerstown, MD, Carl (Miriam) of Rockingham, VA and Luke (Jean) of Waynesboro, PA; his son-in-law Richard Spoonire of Newburg, PA; his foster daughter Christina Baker of Hagerstown; and his sisters, Velma Horst (Glen) of Winchester, VA and Alta Bussard of Winchester, VA. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mt. Olive Mennonite Church (13305 Maugansville Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21740). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
