She was predeceased by: her parents, James J. Blaney and Rose C. Blaney; her husband Calvin Thompson; her brothers, Jerome Blaney, Jr. (Shirley Blaney) and Charles Blaney; and her brother-in-law Marvin Cottrell.

She is survived by: her children, Janice McCoy, Linda Raines (Danny), David Thompson (Christine) and Jim Thompson, Sr. (Kathy); her grandchildren, Christopher Raines (Kaitlin), Shaun McCoy (Maureen), Jimmy Thompson, Jr. (Shannon), Kyle Raines (Emily), Daniel Thompson (Erica), Nick Thompson (Erin) and Hannah Thompson Gray (Matthew); her sister Charlotte Cottrell; and her sister-in-law Sharon Blaney. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
