He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Trudy Grant; his children, Dr. Bradley Grant (Monee), Dr. Schuyler Grant (Margi), Stephanie Knauer (Gary), Darryl Grant (Susan) and Valerie Grant; his grandchildren, Alana, Jordana (JP), Shiri (Tyler), Aliza, Gabrielle, Ari, Jacob, Avi, Alec (Jamie), Makayla and Brayden; and his great grandchildren, Everett and Kruzman.

“There is camaraderie in soccer and that is my connection. I did not know who Murray was when I started playing coed DCJCC soccer back in 1994. But he was the old (sixties) guy that I saw kicking it around and, despite me (34) never having played before, made me feel welcome in this sport & league. I met Murray & Trudy at the 2014 Florida Classic tourney when I played for a different DC-based team. When I joined GPFC 55+ in 2016, I became a teammate of Murray's - he was still kicking it.”
