He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Thomas Purcell and Ursula Anna Purcell; his sister Dorothy O'Connor (Barbara Joyce); his daughter Lori Jean Burwell; his wife Marsha Herndon Purcell; his siblings, Marjorie Maxson of Wheaton, IL and Richard Purcell (Flo) of The Villages, FL; his sons, Wade Herbert Purcell of Atlanta, William Thomas Purcell, III (Tom) of Seattle and Ryan Herndon Purcell (Riley Steiner) of Atlanta; his son-in-law Stephen L. Burwell of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandchildren, Barbara Joyce Burwell (Joy), Sarah Burwell Scofi (Jason) of Alexandria, VA, Anna Buford Purcell of Bordeaux, FR, Hayley Joyce Purcell of Seattle, Grace Kathryn Purcell (Kat) of Bellingham, WA and Ellis Richard Purcell of Atlanta; and his great grandchildren, Mary Pearl Scofi (Mae) and George Burwell Scofi.
