He was predeceased by: his father Calvin Swann; and his sisters, Mary Barr, Peggy Burkhart, Jean Linthicum, Pat Hall and Dorothy Sue.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Cady; his children, Betty Greenwell (Chuck), John Swann (Carla), Jim Swann (late Cindy), Joe Swann (Debi), Jack Swann (Kelly) and Barbara Mendez (Mario); and his brother James Swann. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
