He is survived by: his wife Sally Jean Brown of Omaha; and his children, Kenneth D., Robert C., Denver, U. S. Attorney and Virginia D.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, his family encouraged donations in his honor to the Natural Resources Defense Council.
