It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Penelope White Kilburn of Chevy Chase, Maryland, who passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her friend Wally Clare; her husband Ed; her daughters, Nell Shapiro (Ed) and Nancy Kilburn (Dan Smith); her grandchildren, Jack, Griffin, Dorothy, Julian and Nellie; and her sister Cherry Carnell (Tom). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
