It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Sutherland Creed of Chevy Chase, Maryland, who passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gordon Sutherland had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gordon Sutherland may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his brother Andy Creed (Lynda). He is survived by: his wife Irene; his daughters, Amanda (Bill Lockhart) and Marina (Paul Dybinski); his grandchildren, Alexander, Maximos, Grace and Gabriel; and his siblings, Laura Gordon (Brad) and Donald Creed (Diane).
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
