With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Scoon Jr. of Chestertown, Maryland, born in Rock Hall, Maryland, who passed away on December 18, 2020 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Walter Sr. and Macy Joiner Scoon; his wife Jane Foster Needles of Chestertown; his daughter Brenda Scoon; and his siblings, Robert Scoon and Esther Hillyer.
He is survived by: his former wife Elizabeth Whitlock; his sons, John Walter Scoon III of New Castle, DE and Eugene Scoon of St. Petersburg, FL; his stepsons, Jeffrey Allan Needles of Stevensville, MD and E. Wayne Needles of Dover, DE; and his daughters, Vicky McCloud of Clearwater, FL and Lillian Scoon of St. Petersburg, FL. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren.
