It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Elizabeth Shepard (Chestertown, Maryland), who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Leroy Hoskins and Ruth Elizabeth Hoskins (Parrish); her husband Victor L. Shepard; her in-laws, Donald and Florence Shepard; and her siblings-in-law, Don Shepard and Ruthi Shepard.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Shenenberger (Curtis), Teresa Connor (Kelvin), Victor Shepard (Susie) and Andy Shepard (Serena); her grandchildren, Amber Morgan (Kyle), Victor P. Shepard (Tais), Samuel David Shenenberger (Megan), Kraig Connor, Kory Connor (Kellie), Kalvin Connor (Kelly), Nicole Shepard, Justin Shepard (Schuyler) and Jared Shepard (Crystal); her great grandchildren, Melody, Kimberly, David, Rebecca, Isaiah, Gavin, Ethan, Vada, Kaius, Aila, Hallie, Evelyn, Samuel, Lucy, Charlotte, Rayla and Isadora; her great great grandchildren, Malachi and Milani; her sister Nellie Toomey; and her siblings-in-law, Robert Shepard (Rebecca) and Evelyn Shepard.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newnam Funeral Home (130 Speer Rd, Chestertown, MD 21620). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compass Regional Hospice at 160 Coursevall Dr. Centreville, MD 21617 or to Faith Bible Church for Joseph Childers, a missionary in Grenada, at 407 Dudley Corners Rd. Sudlersville, MD 21668.
