We are sad to announce that on October 29, 2021, at the age of 92, Robert William Witter in Chestertown, Maryland, born in Dubuque, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Witter and Irma Herzog Witter; and his brother Eugene. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Robert Y. Witter (Verena Volpini), Jonathan K. Witter and Sarah W. Campbell (Bruce); his grandchildren, Lysle (Anah), Clayton, Greta Witter, Matthew, Rachel, Andrew Campbell, Friedrich and Ferdinand Schludermann; and his great grandchildren, Maeve, Isla and Yates Witter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the US Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association, Class of 1951, 47 Mohegan Ave, New London, CT 06320 or to the Heron Point Employee Appreciation Fund, 501 E Campus Ave, Chestertown, MD 21620.
