It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Meriel Melissa Daniels Matthews (Chestertown, Maryland), who passed away on July 6, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Daniels and Lucy Daniels; her grandmother Mary Comegys; her aunts, Lilian Blake Bartley and Ida Burk; her brother Mark Daniels; and her nephew Melvin Brandford III.
She is survived by: her daughters, Toye Norris, Keisha Matthews-King and Nekia Johnson (Donte); and her sisters, Veronica Rochester and Clarissa Daniels. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, two nephews; four nieces; and a host of great nieces and nephews, family and friends.
