She was predeceased by: her parents, James Medford Starkey and Nora Wyatt Starkey; and her siblings, Eleanor S. Nickerson and James M. Starkey Jr.. She is survived by: her husband William H. Hurley of Chestertown, MD; and her brother F. Wyatt Starkey (Pat) of Sudlersville, MD. She is also survived by four nephews and two nieces.
