In the vast expanse of eternity, Joan Ellen shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Joan Ellen farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael E. Blume and Sara Ellen Blume (Shropshire); her brother Jack Channing Blume; and her friend Mary Lou Bleakley. She is survived by: her cousins, Norma, William Shropshire, Alyssa Shropshire, Bill Shropshire, Elizabeth Woods and Kimberley Shropshire; and her friend Bill Bleakley (family: Lynn Geisert).
