Noble of Chestertown, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away at the age of 89, on September 10, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Burleigh Clayton and Eleanor Burwell Hepburn Fooks; and her daughter Elizabeth Burwell Noble. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Iglehart Noble of Annapolis; her children, Sally Noble Abbott of Branford, CT and Kenneth Hepburn Noble of Worton, MD; her great grandchildren, Thomas Abbott of Branford, CT, Sara Guidera of Littleton, CO, Jake Gray of Bunker Hill, WV, Bill Noble of Gothenberg, Sweden and Jack Noble of Minneapolis, MN; and her sister Emily. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Washington College Vincent Hynson Scholarship .

“Dear Tom, Ken, Sally and the entire Noble family-Your Eleanor was a dear soul with a warm, optimistic heart. She and Tom befriended me when I was a young archeologist working on the excavations at the Calvert House next to their beautiful home on State Circle. One late afternoon after a brutally hot day - Eleanor had Tom lean over the fence to ask if I liked gin and tonic, a quick nod later, a long friendship was born. Eleanor was the namesake, and Godmother to my own daughter. I’ll miss her.”
