He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Pitts; his stepchildren, Nancy Jones of Falls Church, VA, Chestertown, MD and Edith Hearn (Kenneth) of Millington, MD; his stepgranddaughters, Kimberly Chopra (Shiv) of Silver Spring, MD and Elizabeth McCauley of Cincinnati, OH; his son Buster Pitts of Chestertown, MD; his siblings, Kerry Pitts of Vicksburg, MS, Jerrod Pitts (Rose Marie) of Jackson, MS, Becky Cooper (George) of Jackson, MS and Carmen Pitts of Tuscaloosa, AL; and his grandchildren, Adia Hammond, Kayin Hammond, Sam Chopra, Sophia Chopra, Kaitlyn Jones-Powe and James Wesley Jones Bugaj.
