It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlotte Smith Bode in Chestertown, Maryland, born in Murray, Kentucky, who passed away on May 12, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewitt Talmadge and Emma Meador Watkins; and her stepdaughters, Janet and Barbara Bode. She is survived by: her former spouse Gayle S. Smith of Chicago, IL; her husband Carl Bode; her children, Judy Smith Young of Gettysburg, PA and Anthony Gordon Smith of Snohomish, WA; her stepdaughter Carolyn Bode of Santa Monica, CA; and her grandsons, Scott Young of Washington, D. C. and Mark Young of Odenton, MD..
