She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Carey and Aldorah "Stewart" Carey; her husband Robert W. Short; her son Joseph W. Short; and her brothers, Bobby and Cliffy.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Wayne Short (Tammy) of Millington, MD and Connie Lynn Robinson (Billy) of Church Hill, MD; and her sisters, Cleo, Shirley and Norah. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
