She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Henry Pauls and Julia Green Pauls; and her husband Earl Wilmer, Sr.. She is survived by: her daughter Shani Taylor; her stepchildren, Valerie Hicks, Victoria Lanman, Renee Wilmer, Tama Wilmer and Earl Wilmer, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jalen Pritchett, Ahmad Taylor, Autumn Taylor, Ashlee Taylor, Cortez Pritchett and Charles Church, Jr.; her sister Vernetta Pauls-Sherman; her niece Kara Sherman-Carter; her great-nephew Jayden Carter; her aunt Vernetta Murray; her godchildren, Bianca Pulley, Spencer Wilder, III and Malaysia Duckery; and her friends, Theresa Williams, Paulette Jones and Marsha Wilder. She is also survived by cousins, classmates, and friends.
