It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Howell Aloysius McConnell (Chester, Maryland), born in Chester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son John Howell; his wife Theresa Gallagher McConnell; his parents, Mary and Percy; and his siblings-in-law, John, Anne Gallagher, Dan and Sharon Ratcliff.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Theresa of Chestertown, MD, Ellen Meghan of Kent Island, MD and Jennifer Henderson; his son-in-law Kevin Henderson of Kent Island, MD; and his grandchildren, Melissa, Kristin, Elizabeth, John, Jennah, Brendan, Theresa, Meghan, Fiona, Katie, Mac and Liam. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephews.
In his retirement, he donated his time to the NSA Museum and hosted NSA Museum tours, he also volunteered at the Greenbelt Police Department Cold Case Unit and assisted with solving cold cases.
