He is survived by: his wife Robin Altenburg of Chester, MD; his children, Tracey Alexandrou (Christos) of Round Hill, VA, Alexander Altenburg (Kayla Daughtrey) and Alexis Altenburg of Manhattan, NY; his sister Irene DeMott Hazlett of Staunton, VA; his brother-in-law Jerry Chittum of Stuarts Draft, VA; and his nieces and nephews, Thomas Hazlett, David Hazlett, Danny Newman, Debbie Newman and Katelyn Davis.
