It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Michelle Veeder of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Williams Vanderman and Ghislaine Louise Vanderman (Henri). She is survived by: her husband Jan Richard Veeder; her daughter Lauren Elizabeth Leighton; her son-in-law Jeremy Curtis Leighton; her grandchildren, Alexandra Elizabeth of Edmond, Oklahoma and William Curtis of Edmond, Oklahoma; her son Matthew Richard Veeder of Huntingtown, Maryland.; and her siblings, Guy Vanderman of Alabama, Kris Vanderman of Pennsylvania and Lori Wilmot of Washington.
