She is survived by: her parents, Charles Phipps and Linda Phipps (Railey); her children, Bernard Eugene "Gene" Simms III of Chesapeake Beach, Joseph Simms and Mary Simms of Chesapeake Beach; her grandchildren, Gene, Rylee, Sophia and Lilly Simms; and her sister Margaret Stokes (David Boarman).
