Shirley Smoot Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Smoot (Cheltenham, Maryland), who passed away on December 15, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Green Sr. and Florence Green (Jackson); and her siblings, Linda Terry and Ronald Green. She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Gregory Smoot (Jean), John Wright Smoot, Sheryl Garrett (Jerome), Michelle Smoot, Joan Ahl (Timothy) and Lavonne Smith (Roderick); her grandchildren, Candace Smoot, Raven Smoot, Alicia Ahl, Johnae Smoot, Lauren Smith, Kourtney Garrett, Timothy Ahl Jr., Lamar Queen, Joshua Ahl, David Garrett, Michael Garrett, Christopher Garrett and Steven Smith; her great grandchildren, John Queen, Joshua Ahl, Kayden Smoot, Kyrie Ahl and Kayden Ahl; her siblings, James Green, William Green (Henrietta), Richard Green, Wayne Green (Lelia), Darryl Green (Shirley), Delores Green and Barbara Jean Jones (Thomas); and her sisters-in-law, Jerline Smoot, Sally Whitaker (Kleston), Shirley Chase and Carolyn Woodland. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
