It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nola Kathleen Moats (Cheltenham, Maryland), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nolan Jacobs and Ivy Jacobs; her son Robert Lawrence "Bobby" Moats; and her sister Carol. She is survived by: her children, Kappy and Lothian, MD; her husband Robert L. "Bobby" Moats of Lothian, MD; her daughter Laura K. McKenzie (Michael) of Mechanicsville; her grandchildren, Jessica, Nichole, Christopher and Rachael; and her siblings, Janis and Nolan. She is also survived by spouses and seven great-grandchildren.
Hospice of the Chesapeake provided support for Bobby and Laura to care for Kappy at home; the family hopes that those wishing to make a donation in Kappy's memory will consider supporting this worthy organization.
