He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde David and Geraldine Gay McClung Walkup; and his sister Sharon Walkup. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Trivett Walkup; his children, Kevin Walkup (Wendy) of Lynchburg, Virginia and Carie Walkup of Glenn Allen, Virginia; his stepson Hunter Smith (Jordan) of Greenville; his brother Joseph A. Walkup (Nancy) of Berkley Springs; and his grandchildren, Clorisa, Kyle, Alyson, Ryan, Anna and Tyler.
