With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin Jerome Dobson of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, born in Easton, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 16, 2024 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Dobson and Doretha Dobson; and his siblings, Lester (Shirley), Michael Dobson, Henry Wooten, Arthur Pitts Jr. (Sandra), Doreen King, Tina, Deborah Dobson and Sylvia Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Kennedy Dobson (Melody) and Nina Michelle Dobson (Sylvia K. Dobson); his siblings, Viola Grooms, Janie Ricketts (Richard), Florence Dobson-Gonzalez, Rodney (Bernice), Eugene (Linda), Bernadette, Darren Dobson (Jewetta), Martina Bethea-Dobson, William (Mary), Cecil (Sheryl) and Edwin Flamer (Connie); and his niece Viola (Jesus).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.
