He is survived by: his wife Lois Marie Spencer; his child Morgan Lang Spencer of Pope, MS; his stepchildren, Angel Cole of Mechanicsville, MD and Shawn Buckley of Port Tobacco, MD; and his brothers, Ambrose Spencer and Charles Spencer. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
