He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Valeri, Sr. and Linnie Pearl Patterson Valeri of La Grange, GA; and his sister Jo Ann Bruner (Valeri). He is survived by: his wife Rita Louise Valeri (Adamson); his children, Victoria Lynn Hurtado (Gerardo Hurtado) of Durham, NC, Cynthia Joan Valeri Tella (Robert Tella) of Medfield, MA, Catherine Lee Valeri Heilig (Paul Heilig) of Prince Frederick, MD and Col. Mark Augustus Valeri (Kimberly Dillion Valeri) of Forest Hill, MD; his grandchildren, Matthew, Chris, Alex Blakeley (Valeri), Jonathan, Gus Hurtado, Bobby, Carolynn Tella, Paul, Jr. and Shelby Frasca (Heilig); his great grandchildren, Hunter, Finn Blakeley and Sophia Valeri; and his siblings, Antonio "Tony" Valeri and Betty Jean Haralson (James Haralson). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
