He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Wright and Eileen Wright; his sister-in-law Donna Wright; and his son-in-law Ervin Ransome. He is survived by: his siblings, John Wright (Donna Wright) and Cande Wright; his children, Bridget Johnson (Steve Johnson), Mandi Ransome (Ervin Ransome), Derek Wright (Nichole Wright) and Jenna Shall (Greg Shall); his niece Anjela Barnes-Alban; his nephews, George Oliver Gray and Michael Wright; and his grandchildren, Branden Murphy, Alexa Ransome, Kiera Ransome, Damon Ransome, Ervin Ransome Jr., Ava Wright, Brady Wright, Camryn Shall, Preston Shall and Carson Shall.
