He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Leroy Bowers and Sally Bowers of Virginia; his daughter Debra Ann Bowers; and his sister Jean Reese. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Bowers (Carroll); his sons, William R. Bowers (Tammy Rodriguez), Michael C. Bowers (Marisa) and Patrick B. Bowers (Mikkicia); his grandchildren, Timothy W. R. Bowers, Caleb Bowers, Catherine Bowers, Thea Bowers, Andrew Bowers, Joseph Bowers and Nicholas Bowers; his sister June Gigeous; and his niece Bonnie Miller.
