He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Kirchner and Grace Kirchner; and his brothers, Harry Kirchner, Robert Kirchner, Gene Kirchner and James Kirchner.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Kirchner (Twiddy); his children, Tina Wittman (Greg) of Centreville, VA, Carlene Kirchner of San Francisco, CA and Richard Kirchner, Jr. (Kathleen) of Davidsonville, MD.; and his siblings, Brenda Maxwell and Marion Kirchner. He is also survived by grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.
