He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Mae Quesenberry Macdowall and James Douglas Macdowall; his wife Wanda Macdowall; his brothers, David Macdowall (GeorgeAnn) and Clyde Macdowall; and his grandfather John.
He is survived by: his former wife Rebecca V Lloyd; his children, John Macdowall, Janet Macdowall and JoAnne Macdowall; his grandsons, Nathan Hale, Ian Macdowall (Melissa) and Nicholas Hale; his extended family, Jennifer, Michael Hawley, Angela, David Driver, Karen and Scott Brownlie; and his grandchildren, Benson, Elgin Hawley, Georgie (Justin), Mckenna, Kellen Driver, Dalton and Chayse Brownlie.
