He was predeceased by: his parent George Franklin Teat, Sr.; and his brother Elson Teat. He is survived by: his parent Elsie Ringold Teat; his nephew Anthony Teat of Washington, DC; his niece Tanya Foreman (Anthony) of North Carolina; his great-nieces, Tyana Teat and Antonía Foreman; and his cousins, Ralph Deaton and Edna Teat.
