He is survived by: his daughter Melody Scott; his aunts, Henrietta Pinckney and Elizabeth Newman; his nephew Clifford Newman; his niece Elizabeth Denise Newman; his former wife Nancy H. Scott; and his close friend Mary Reed (Grasonville Maryland).
