It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Aretta M. Griffin (Centreville, Maryland), who passed away on July 21, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Baynard and Carrie Stranahan Baynard; and her siblings, James Baynard, Ned Baynard, Stanley "Dick" Baynard, Rebecca Crouse, Evelyn Kemp, Grace Dadds, Violet Pinder and Ida Mae Baynard.
She is survived by: her husband John Paul "Jack" Griffin; her daughter Jane Jensen (Bob); her grandson John Beville (Christy); her son John Paul "Jake" Griffin III (Kate); her great grandchild Mason Beville; and her stepgrandchildren, Brian Jensen and Jennifer Nutley. She is also survived by several step-great-grandchildren.
