With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Alberta Wakenight of Cavetown, Maryland, who passed away on December 27, 2020 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles S. G. Hartle and Edna A. Hartle (Newcomer); her husband L. Leon Wakenight; and her siblings, Mary Bushey, Lois Cavanaugh, Edna Mae McClain and George Hartle.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Lewis (Donald) of Beaver Creek, MD, Betty Kempe (Gene) of Mesquite, NV and Robert (Pat) of New Market, MD.; her grandsons, Donald Smith (Lisa), Douglas Smith (El) and Charles Veon (Karen); and her great grandchildren, Lindsey, Jessica, Tyler, Samuel and Jackson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
