He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Abel and Clara Abel; and his wife Ruth Abel. He is survived by: his children, Timothy Abel, Mary Meissner, Teresa Kress and Kathleen Acosta; and his nieces, Geri Harlow and Mary Catherine Rubert. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the veterans' cemetery chapel restricts its participants to 25, including family and staff. All those who wish to attend will be required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all times.
