He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Louise Lyons; and his son Michael Lyons. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Bell, Margaret Jones, Geri Chase, Paul Lyons and Mary Helvey; and his grandchildren, Amy Johnson, Brian Bell, Kathleen Hyatt, Lauren Pelham, Samuel Jones, Michael, Marie Lyons, Matthew and Robert Helvey. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
