He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Funk and Genevieve Funk (Smith); and his son Alan Funk. He is survived by: his wife Joyce A. Funk (Kerrigan) of Gettyburg; his son Andrew Funk (Rebecca) of Ellicott City, MD; his grandchildren, Drew, Cooper and Beckett; and his siblings, Loretta Kay Gonsoski of Iowa, Steve Funk of Las Vegas and Diane Ernst of Hanover, PA..
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:50 AM and at 11:50 AM at the Monahan Funeral Home (125 Carlisle St, Gettysburg, PA 17325). A Mass was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (25 W High St, Gettysburg, PA 17325).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Penn State University's THON benefitting the Four Diamonds Fund and the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
