With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Denise Avara (Catonsville, Maryland), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 19, 2021 at the age of 57. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Frank Schoenberg. She is survived by: her mother Stephanie Schoenberg (Nee Kovacht); her husband John Avara; her children, Christian Salvatore Avara, John Francis Avara and Stephen Michael Avara; her siblings, Kurt Schoenberg (Carol) and Ellen Ivey (James); and her nieces and nephews, Madeleine Ivey, Jacqueline Ivey, Kari Roy, Erich Schoenberg, Colter Avara, Lindsey Avara, Matthew Avara, Stefana Avara, Shannon Avara, Joseph Ruzzi, Thomas Ruzzi, Rosie Ruzzi and John Ruzzi.
The family has requested that those who wish to may send flowers or donations can be made to University of Maryland Medical Service Foundation (UMMS) Heart and Vascular Center.
