It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alfred James Switzler of Catonsville, Maryland, born in Carrolltown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 11, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, DeSales Switzler and Regina Switzler (Karlheim); and his spouse James Pierre. He is survived by: his family Carrolltown; his former wife Cherie Stickler; his siblings, Bev (Barb) and Rose Maurer; his wife Jeanne; his daughters, Bev Ricketts, Barb Kimball and Carol Startare (Carrolltown); and his stepchildren, Lisa Nichols, Brian Pierre, Lori Hopkins and Jon Paul Pierre. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
