He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sparrow and Vera Sparrow of Catonsville, MD.. He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Meyer-Degnan (Monica DelCastillo), Theresa DeSalvo (Matthew), Michelle Sparrow, Kathleen Sparrow (Michael Shader) and Suzanne Sparrow (Dawn Hendricks); his close friend Zarema Kumakhova of Lansing; his grandchildren, Christopher Meyer, Katie Eyde, Corey, Michael, Nicholas, Timothy DeSalvo, Chloe and Casey Shader; and his great grandchild Virginia Sparrow. He is also survived by his first wife and mother of his five daughters.
During his remarkable career, he was involved with many professional organizations including the American Heart Association, Michigan Heart Association and the American Board of Pediatrics.
